Completely new to Hamxia and/or ARPGS? This guide will walk you through everything you need to know to get started! An ARPG is an Art Role Playing Game. This essentially means you are allowed to interact and play with the lore/world by submitting art and/or writing. Hamxia is the species of our ARPG, and they are hamsters who cultivated hard enough to gain powers and a human form!

• Hamxia combines the Wuxia genre (Martial heroes in fantasy ancient China, often with superhuman abilities gained through cultivation) with hamsters! These small little guys can cultivate hard enough to gain a human form. Cultivate with your hamster to gain chi and evolve stronger and stronger!

In Hamxia’s menu bar, there are several pages for you to explore!

📰 News will contain all the most recent site news put up by moderators. This will contain info about new events, raffles, limited-time prompts, etc.

💸 Sales will contain the official sales of Hamxia Designs by the Moderators and/or Guest Artists. These are completely optional to participate in and are not required to play Hamxia.

👾 Play contains all of the activities on the site. This includes shops, dailies, prompts, raffles, mini-games, etc.

📚 Library includes all information, lore, and user posts within Hamxia. This includes the Rules, Encyclopedia, Gallery, Lore, etc.

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Clan will contain all of the info regarding the community in Hamxia! This includes a page leading to the community discord (18+).

🐹 How to Play Hamxia 🐹

In Hamxia, you can get a free MYO (Make Your Own) Hamxia character just by signing up! Through having a Hamxia, you can then complete prompts through art and/or writing, which then reward you with currency! 

In order to make your own Hamxia, go to the MYO Shop, get your free MYO item, open it, and upload a design update to create your first Hamxia! Your free MYO is a Dumpling, a baby hamster that hasn’t finished cultivating!

This means it does not come with a human form, and you must complete cultivation quests to unlock one! To complete your Hamxia’s cultivation, check out the Cultivation Guide! For more information on how to design a Hamxia, please refer to our Design Guide!

Don’t want to design your own Hamxia? Maybe you’ll find the one at Wandering Warriors! This is an area under Shops where you can find Stray Hamxias to take in as your own! 

Wandering Warriors consists of user-submitted designs that are uploaded for the community! These wandering Hamxias are all dumplings, and do not come with human forms yet! If you do not own any Hamxias, you are allowed to pick any Wandering Warrior for free!

If you do own Hamxias, you can still take in Wandering Warriors through the Honour Currency, which you gain by either submitting your own design to Wandering Warriors or completing Special Prompts that reward Honour!

Once you’ve signed up and have a Hamxia, you can now play! 

✍️ Prompts are essentially situations for you to draw or write your Hamxia in to be rewarded the game's various currencies. If you’d like detailed information about the currencies and how to gain them, check out our Currency Guide!

📅 Dailies and Weeklies are little interactables that refresh daily or weekly and will grant you various rewards!

🎫 Raffles are free to enter giveaways that contain prizes! Some of these could be items, designs, or currency!

🎲 Mini Games are fun little games for you to play and have fun with! Completion of these mini-games can reward you with currency, which you can find out more about in our Submission Guide!  Unfortunately, these mini-games currently do not work on mobile.

🏪 Shops are where you can browse the various markets available within Hamxia! This includes the Wandering Warriors area, a Donation Shop where people can give up their items, Trait shops, and many more!
